These Simple Techniques Can Get You Pregnant. Read Now.
You’ve put off having children while you and your husband were building your careers. Now you’re both financially stable and feel it’s time to start building a family. The problem is that you seem to have trouble getting pregnant no matter how frequently you make love. What’s wrong? Are there some techniques that you should be practicing to become expectant?
For beginners, you should start with a visit to your gynecologist, if you have not done so. He will examine you and your husband to see if anything is medically wrong. If you’ve just gone off birth control, then you should also realize that it might take some time for you to get pregnant as your body readjusts to being off contraception. Most doctors say to their patients to wait at least three menstrual cycles before attempting to get pregnant.
If both the male and female are physically healthy, and yet still can't get pregnant even though you are not conception pills for several months. With that, there is something you can do to increase your chances of conception. The best times to get pregnant are when you are ovulating, so you should time sex with your husband to your most fertile times. How can you recognize when you are ovulating? There are several ways.
In general, ovulation happens some 14 days before your next period. So you can compute when you are most fertile based on whether your menstrual period is 28, 30 or 32 days and schedule your lovemaking on those days. To be sure, you should start having sex several days before your fertile period since sperm can survive for two to three days in the reproductive tract.
If you want a more exact method of determining when you are ovulating, you can measure your basal body temperature (BBT) using a basal thermometer, which is available at any drugstore, although an ordinary oral or digital one will suffice. Take your temperature every morning when you get out of bed, and chart it; a small increase in BBT for some two successive days signals that ovulation has taken place.
You can also check your cervical mucus. If the discharge turns egg white-like, then it signals the best time to get pregnant; once the fertile period has passed the mucus becomes sticky or cloudy or may even disappear entirely. Or you can buy an ovulation predictor kit, which checks your urine for an increase in luteinizing hormone that occurs 24 to 48 hours before ovulation.
You can also boost your chances of getting pregnant with a healthy lifestyle. Eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly, limit stress and stop bad habits such as smoking and excessive drinking of alcohol and coffee. You should also start taking a prenatal vitamin such folic acid. It is recommended by doctors to take at least 400mg of vitamin daily a month before attempting to get pregnant, and at least 600mg once you are conceiving.
If you closely follow these steps faithfully, you should be pregnant in no time at all. So prepare your home pregnancy tests and get ready to become a mom.
